Prehistoric animals

this is not done yet and these are bit from videos i think are interesting so some bit wont make sense yes all the animals in this are real animals but are all extincted.

(Smilodon)  A huge cat killing big animals it is a name that conjures up veracity and defines the word predator saber tooth a huge cat that specialises in killing the biggest prey sporting 7 inch long canines for nearly two million years it dominated saber tooth were overwhelming smilodon might have came in at 440/ 750 pounds 25% more than the biggest male lion 1400 thousand years ago when people started colonising north america a 1 thousand foot sheet of ice, rear teeth can slice meat like a samurai sword north america north and south america is where they were for a long time 1.8 million years ago mass extinction at the end of the ice age quaternary extinction asphalt sticky mass that captures animals until they die asphalt preserves bones but not muscle if you cut into the bone you can test them and know the dietary habits of the animal saber teeth are fragile can’t go through bone short faced bear takes their food

(Short faced bear) north american continent all fours 6 feet tall faster than a horse 10,000 years ago it left the earth biggest carnivore after the dinosaurs take down any prey animal  strong jaw with a bite that can kill anything it wanted sticky viscous tar deadly animal trap small ponds of tar covered in bush and leafs tar richest fossil sites lived and hunted by itself Dr. Paul Matthews

grizzly bear is it’s cousin the reason that the bear went extinct because they were top of the food chain but it didn’t hunt or scavenge for food modern day bears can smell food from 3 miles away so the short faced could smell up to 6 miles away when it would stand up it would smell a dead animal and go to it most times there would still be a another predator there like the smilodon or dire wolf still there it would stand up on its hind legs and intimidate the smilodon or dire wolf in to giving its meal up finding it was one thing but getting it off the other animal was another smilodons would fight for there food but dire wolf sometimes fight but most of the time run away to avoid getting into a fight
