Open Steak Sandwich

 In my Hec class we were making open steak sandwiches 

Here is the recipe 

                                  Open Steak Sandwich                       Serves 4


  • Beef Schnitzel-  trimmed, about 1 cm thickness (can be shredded & marinated before cooking)

  • Oil (for cooking meat)

  • 4 Bread rolls or 1 ciabatta loaf, cut into 4 pieces

  • Mayonnaise

  • Sauces - own choice eg Tomato, BBQ, Sweet Chilli

  • Lettuce, Spinach or Mescalin salad leaves

  • Tomatoes, sliced

  • Red Onion rings

  • Cheese slices

  • Avocado 

 

  • 1. Quickly pan fry the meat over a medium high heat until just cooked, turning once during cooking. Allow to rest for 5 minutes. Serve as a piece or shredded

  •  

  • 2. Cut rolls or ciabatta loaf pieces in half. These can be warmed or toasted if desired.

  •   Spread the tops and the bottoms of the bread with mayonnaise and /or sauces chosen

  •  

  • 3. Top half the bread with lettuce etc, tomato slices, steak and any other ingredients

  •  

  • 4. Cover with the remaining bread pieces 

  •  

  • 5. Serve

 

                                   

In mayonnaise you can get vitamins C and K

In lettuce you can get vitamins A and C

In tomatoes you can get vitamins E and C

In red onion you can get manganese vitamin B6 and vitamin C

In cheese you can get calcium fat and protein

In avocado you can get vitamin C,K,B,E,A


My team worked really well together and we got everything done on time.

The appearance of the sandwich was really good it look fresh

the taste of it was good the steak wasn't over powering and you could taste everything in it. The texture was nice nut the bread was a bit tough it smelt very fresh and nice.

Repel glitter with dish soap

 With this experiment is about teaching your kids about repealing germs with soap. 

For this experiment you will need a bowl,water,dish soap,glitter. 

first you will want to put water in the bowl or container then put glitter onto the water then you put a bit of dish soap into the bowl and watch the glitter go to the sides of the bowl.
